Rihanna Lawsuit Against The Top Shop!

Well, I guess Rihanna wasn't lying in her hit single Pour It Up off her lastest ablum Unapolegetic when she said "All I see is signs, All I see is dollar signs" because our favorite Bajan princess is headed straight to the bank for a $5 Million dollar lawsuit against one of our favorite clothing stores, The Top Shop.

Rihanna and her management team were notified that the popular clothing store happened to be selling merchandise with Rihanna's pictures without her consent. You see, the company buys celebrity pictures from the photographers but doesn't pay the artist for promotion. At first, Rihanna and her team politely asked the company to stop using Rihanna's face to promote their brand but the company ignored their request. The Top Shop offered Rihanna $5,000 dollars and continued to sell their merchandise. Rihanna was highly offended with the offer by the multi-million dollar company. Rihanna has decided to take matters into her own hands, legal wise. So far Rihanna has spent $1 Million dollars in litigation towards the lawsuit. Rihanna says, "It's the principle and what they're doing is wrong. They're taking advantage and exploiting artists and something must be done."
We're rooting for you RiRi, get that money girl!

My First Feature On Yahoo!

Hello Everyone,

Today I received an email from Yahoo but I didn't really pay any attention to it because, I instantly thought it was a spam message but low and behold guess what it was? Yeah, that's right. It was a message from Yahoo informing me that my article was published and featured on the site. This is so exciting for me! Do you know how hard it is to get your work on a major site like Yahoo? Well, guess what? I DID IT! It's crazy because, I don't like to doubt myself but I didn't actually think my article would make it on Yahoo because it's such a major online publication and they receive different entries everyday. I'm not saying that I thought my article was less than anyone else's, I just thought it would be looked over, that's all! I'm so blessed. Today was a big day for my journalism career. Not to mention a great addition to my writing portfolio!

My Yahoo article was based on embarrassing prom dresses. Do you have one? Do you want to hear my story about how I feel about my prom dress now? Well, click the Yahoo link below to find out:

During the grand opening of the salon I couldn't help but go around

All of the guest were extremely friendly and such a pleasure to work with! Check out some of the great comments the guest provided during the grand opening:

Sonya: "Today I received a manicure and it was
great. I've known Kisha for thirty years and she's
a go getter. I was told a year ago that she was
going to start her own business, so I wasn't surprised
when I was invited to the grand opening. (laughs)

Caprise: I've known Kisha for about sixteen years now.
I wasn't shocked when Kisha told my husband and I
about her salon. She's always planning something big!
Today I got the signature manicure and pedicure and
it was amazing, believe me when I say I'll be back. (laughs)

Get It Up, Diggin' On You, Red Light Special, Creep, What About Your Friends may be amongst the list of your favorite TLC songs. Even though we're way past the 90's you will soon get a chance to relive the memories of one of our favorite girl groups TLC in their new biopic, Crazy,Sexy, Cool: The TLC Story that is set to premiere this year on VH1. I know you're probably thinking, "Who will the cast consist of?" Well, here's a photo of the cast members,

Keke Palmer as Rozonda "Chilli" Thomas, Drew Sidora as Tionne "T-Boz" Watkins and Lil Mama as the late Lisa "Left-Eye" Lopes.

The two living members, Tionne "T-Boz" Watkins and Rozonda "Chilli" Thomas of the iconic group have taken full responsibility as executive producers and creative directors of the film. The two are working together to make sure their story is told the right way! Many of us are so excited for this biopic, their story is well overdue.

Keep Going, You're Almost There!

Hey Everyone,

Lately I've been hearing a lot of people say how stressed out or discourage they've become. Well, I can't relieve your problem but I can try everything in my power to help you through it. For starters, NEVER GIVE UP! I know exactly how you feel. Do you feel like sometimes you're at a stand still? Do you feel like no matter how hard you try you just can't seem to get where you want to be? NEWS FLASH : THAT'S NORMAL!!! No successful person received everything over night. The key is patience (something I lack lol) I can admit that I'm extremely impatient especially when it comes to the way I want to live my life. It's like I have it ALL planned out but I have to remember things don't happen on my time, IT'S ALL UP TO GOD AND HIS TIMING IS NEVER WRONG!

You must remember that we only have ONE life to live and we must spend our time wisely. With that being said PICK YOUR FRIENDS WISELY. You should always remember that your friends are a reflection of you. I know you all remember the old saying "YOU ARE WHO YOU HANG WITH" Well, I must admit that saying is true! You wouldn't hang out with a person that you don't have anything in common with, a person that acts as if they don't have anything to live for, would you? Hmmmm. One thing I had to understand and accept over the years happens to be that everyone isn't go to be happy for you and be willing to encourage you to go further in life. You should always hang with people that uplift you and motivate you to accomplish your dreams. If you can't find this certain quality in your "friends" then they're not really your friends. It's that simple! A lot of people, especially young people have this weird misconception of what a true friend is. Friends have different qualities and understandings but the one quality every friend should have is the ability to inspire. Inspiring your friends could make all the difference in the world. Helping a person succeed is the most expensive gift you can ever attempt to give.

Just hold on to your dreams. I know it gets tough and sometimes you just want to quit but don't do it. It's not worth it. Everyone experiences struggle and even though that's enough to make you want to give up, just keep pushing. The funny thing about accomplishing your dreams is that you never know how close you are. You could work so hard for YEARS and the NEXT DAY could be your big break. Speaking things into existence is very important. CLAIM YOUR SUCCESS!!!

I love my blog readers and want to help you all out in any way that I can. I appreciate each and every single one of you! If you have any questions for me or want to personally talk to me feel free to email me at charismamiller.info@yahoo.com

Talk To You Soon,
Charisma xoxo
