Every woman loves for her hair to look flawless!
I must admit as a woman, weaves can be very addictive. I mean who doesn't love a natural looking weave?
After a long period of time weave can become your WORST ENEMY....
Most people aren't aware of PERMANENT SCALP DAMAGE!!!
Permanent scalp damage can occur from....
SEW-IN'S, COLORS/BLEACHING, BRAIDS, GLUE IN'S, RELAXERS AND ETC.
You know that saying "Too much of something isn't good for you?" It's true.
Chemical scalp damage i.e (Relaxers and Color) May never fully heal dependin on how bad of the reaction.
After wearing the same styles for so long you should start to think about other options for your hair.
Im not saying completely X out your weave but try to compromise.
EXAMPLE...
If your going to wear a sew-in for a couple weeks thats fine but once you take it out, make sure you go to a great beautician who knows alot about promoting healthy hair so he/she could provide a long line of hair care treatments to keep your hair looking strong, lively and healthy.
SEBORRHEIC DERMATITIS
Seborrheic dermatitis is a papulosquamous disorder patterned on the sebum-rich areas of the scalp, face, and trunk. In addition to sebum, this dermatitis is linked to Malassezia, immunologic abnormalities, and activation of complement. It is commonly aggravated by changes in humidity, changes in seasons, trauma or emotional stress. The severity varies from mild dandruff to exfoliative erythroderma.
-(Via MedScape Online Article)
Seborrheic is VERY COMMON in small children. Seborrheic can also come from lack of frequent shamooping. You should always try to shampoo at least once a week. Cleaning your combs, brushes, and blow dryer combs are VERY IMPORTANT. Sand your pressing combs to clean them as well.
