Real fashion experts know that fashion is just a recycled trend waiting to be brought back to life, but next time with more character and creativity. Alot of the fashion styles from the fourties, fifties, sixties, and even seventies are coming right back around. At the end of last year, the film re-make of Sparkle, was shot here in Detroit, Michigan. The film was released last weekend and the costumes used in the film were absolutely breathtaking! The funny thing about the clothing, happens to be that they were trying to find clothing that would have the soul and sixties look but what they actually created was inspiration for the real fashion lovers. Unfortunatley, those specific looks aren't offered in stores anymore due to the fact that some retail stores might consider the looks
The film was absolutely amazing! The casting directors managed to bring together great people to relive the iconic picture. All the actors/actresses SHINED! I loved how the storyline was adjusted as well. I really thought the film was going to be a repeat of the original but in my opinion it wasn't even a re-make of the film because
I FELT AS IF IT WAS A CHAPTER TWO!

The music was great! One minute I was jamming to the popular motown hits like "Special Occasion" by Smokey Robinson then taken away by Carmen Ejogo's version of "Hooked On Your Love" which I absolutely adored and tear jerked by Jordin Sparks "One Wing".
I know that Carmen Ejogo has been acting for years but this was definitely her big break. Carmen "Sister" was my favorite character in the film. She OWNED her role. I've already seen the movie two times, definitely obsessed. I give the film an easy A+!!!!
